About Bob Hu, founder of Nuclei

Bob Hu didn’t found Nuclei to join a movement; he founded it to build a standard. With a background at Marvell and Synopsys, Bob saw that RISC-V’s potential was being held back by a lack of industrial-grade execution.

Between 2016 and 2018, Bob became the primary catalyst for RISC-V in Asia, authoring the first definitive Chinese textbooks and launching the Hummingbird e203 project to give the industry a baseline of quality. In 2018, he incorporated Nuclei with a clear mandate: to bridge the gap between open-source flexibility and Tier-1 reliability.

Today, with nearly 1 billion units shipped, Bob’s vision has turned RISC-V into a "no-brainer" for mass production.
